Default finders---drive chain???yikes

so i just got some sweet 26" fenders from here: BicycleDesigner: Your one stop source for lowrider bike and chopper.

i had a bit of trouble figuring out how to get them on, at first it seemed like they werent gonna fit. eventually though i got them on, the trouble now is that the drive chain from the engine seems to be rubbing on the fender. i know this can't be the best thing for the chain or the fender's. i tried to use some pliers to bend the fenders in where the chain hits, but it still rubs a little. so i guess my question is this: do you have any suggestions as to how i might resolve the issue.

When I use fenders I cut the back one off where the brake mounts and the fender hanger is. Make sure you use loc-tite on the fasteners. A loose fender can be troublsome.

I use the old hacksaw and aviation snips method to adjust my fenders.
