Was the kit complete and boxed right?
Did you recieve good friendly service?
Did you have any problem's, did the dealer take care of your problems?
What motor did you get? Is it what you thought it would be?
Any advice for a newbie looking for a dealer? |

| | Re: Find a Dealer here I'll do a review for that'sdax products.....
I have bought three of the in frame two stroke bicycle motor kits from that'sdax.
All have been just what I expected, one is a bearing engine with updated throttle/kill switch, the other two were/are bushed engines from last year.
Price was really low for the first two, still very good for the bearing engine.
The first took a couple weeks to get to me, the second one came in a few days. The last one took about two weeks. I was not upset by the ship times on the two that took awhile since the ebay description said it would be a little while to get it.
I have had only one small problem with one of the three kits, which was that it didn't come with a chain tensioner.....one e-mail and it was on the way, no questions asked. I got it in a week.
The first engine I bought outlasted the bike it was mounted on and is going on it's second bike. The second one was sold after 500++ miles WITHOUT ANY RUNNING PROBLEMS- PERIOD. I'm not sure of it's ultimate fate, but maybe the gentleman who bought it will stop in or call this summer as I told him to let me know how it went after a year.
The third engine is the bearing engine and I have yet to mount it...special projects always take more time.
Having had A LOT of prior experience with Chinese product in the form of small gas scooters/mini cycles and road going scooters, I didn't expect too much, and for the price I paid I got way more than I paid for.
Heck a couple rounds of golf will cost you more and so will that R/C helicopter you just wasted after less than an hour of flight.
For a hobby the engine was definitely a best buy.
For reliability, it's been dead reliable with only the specter of breakdown keeping me from doing something dumb like riding it on a real road trip to BFE. I have done several trouble free trips of well over 50 miles with no problems.
I would recommend this type of engine for the hobbyist. I would recommend thatsdax.com to anyone who is interested in these type of kits. Good supply of parts cheap too!
Some have said thatsdax.com kits are more costly. They are and they aren't. They don't over charge for shipping like a lot of sellers do....29.99 vs. 54.99 or more. Do the math. Also, if you have a problem with the engine once it's mounted up, are you gonna be happy you saved 20 or 30 bucks when you can't get any help or even a response from your seller?
5 out of 5 stars.
No, I don't have any affiliation with them and yes, I paid for all my own kits.......

He also answers the phone and ships real fast. I have been buying from him for 4 months now and nothing but fast good service.
I got jumped on the other forum for telling about the good service I have received from RevolutionCycles. He has good feedback on eBay. Better than most of the other eBay sellers. It appears hard to have good feedback selling these kits. Alot of people have problems and leave a negative.
He helped me alot on my first build and his tips worked ! The bike is muched loved ! eBay Store - Motorized Bicycles: Bicycle Engine Kit, Grubee Skyhawk, Bicycle Engine

| | Re: Find a Dealer & Review Since I posted a bad review of Revolution, I guess I should have said why...
I have never bought from Revolution...but I have spoken to some who have and alot is from word of mouth.
One guy order a 70cc kit and recieved a 48cc
One recieved a kit without a clutch in it, he got no response from revolution and had to buy a clutch from another dealer.
Many have recieved incomplete kit's..no muffler..no spocket..no carb..and one guy never recieved his kit at all...never got a response from revoltion.
I was asked to help out...When I finally got in contact with revolution after many week's of trying..He chewed me out for no reason, said that he does not help those who whine and they could go **** themself's. Then he went on this ramble rampage of how Grube has got it in for him...I have no ideal what he was talking about..
This is why I gave a bad review to Revolution cycles....it is only my opinion |

I think I'm going to go off your recommendation and go with SpookyTooth for my motor. $250 with free shipping ain't bad. I emailed them the other day to see what their lead time on the motors is...there is none, they keep them in stock and ship quick. Good nuff for me |

| | Re: Find a Dealer & Review I didn't see devrou on the list. He sells a fair # of engine kits on ebay.
Here's where I got mine: 80cc Motorized Bicycle Bike Motor Moped Kit Engine NR - eBay (item 150255746834 end time Jun-12-08 10:02:09 PDT)
Yeah he says 80cc, his schnizzits are about the same as others - some stuff is the better stuff....but my carb needle had no taper, the clutch cable housing is too long for the cable, the upgraded fuel valve broke in two....etc all after warranty. Shows a chrome tank...it's black......better clutch handle and throttle. Does come with the tools (unlike I've heard from others).

| | Re: Find a Dealer & Review Hi,
I have had two GEBE machines and but for the first one being stolen I have no complaints about either of them. On balance I think I actually prefer the Zenaoh engine - its a little more forgiving on starting and I think if anything a little stronger and gives more torque, although that could have been because it was on a MTB frame.
I have nothing but praise for GEBE . I am curious now as to getting hold of a Chengine so if anyone has one going second hand for fairly cheap (money much I dont have) then let me know

so after my aborted month long wait with another vendor, if Spooky Tooth can ship in a timely manner, the Goodwill Jaguar will be back in the hunt with the Summer Junkyard Build.
