Crack in Carb


Discussion at Motorized Bicycle Engine Kit Forum in the Motorized Bicycle General Discussion forum. Can i use the bike with this crack? The Engine is stalling when idling, otherwise it drives ok....

Default Crack in Carb

Can i use the bike with this crack?
The Engine is stalling when idling, otherwise it drives ok.

I say "If it runs and you need it......Ride it!!". I would look into replacing that part though.

Yes, JB Weld, RTV sealer or even some Seal-All to fix that for now....yeah, that's your air leak.

Well I am not using it today, I am already at work.
I will try to seal it up this weekend how long will JB weld hold?
I geuss I need a new carb. question of who to order from?

I'll third the JB Weld suggestion.

If the surface is nice and clean, the JB Weld should last quite some time.

You can get a new carb for $22 from Dax. Honestly though I'd look into finding a better carb for replacement....

jb weld will hold FOREVER! that is your best bet...I've already used some of that on my clutch pin cover. it gets lots of vibration and heat, and is solid as a rock!
