Default Cold blooded engine

Hi
I confirmed yesterday that my china girl runs better when cold
When hot starts to 4cycle at constant speed and lacks acceleration
Needle clip is in the second notch from top, will try it in the first notch and post my results
Peace

Keep us posted.

I had one kit where it ran too rich in the top position. I personally took the cheap route and opened up the air filter cover with some holes, and it was close. I removed the baffle and it ran perfect.

You can buy a smaller jet too.

Hi
Needle clip is in the top notch
Seems to run cleaner at cruise speed
And seems to have a bit less acceleration
A single circuit carb like our china girl has is a compromise
I will start looking for options with more circuits
Peace

You know these things do a 2 cycle/4 cycle break at cruise when set up properly right?

These carbs are primitive. Some solder the jet closed and re-drill it to the proper size. There is a thread or two around here about that.

Hi
Exactly
Now it is kind of a 2-4 cycle when cruising
And a bit less acceleration
Most of my riding is at cruising speeds, so I think it is better now
If I would climb long hills I would choose the previous setting
I am sure there are scooter carbs with idle, transition and main circuits
That would be perfect
'The best is the enemy of the good'
I will enjoy my mb for a while

There are those that adapt Walbro carbs, check the search function for a whole bunch of stuff.
