Default chain/tensioner question (how does mine look?)

take a look at these pictures and tell me if you think its lined up correctly. yesterday on the way home the chain came off and destroyed my rear wheel. i think it was because my chain was very loose (i could see it bouncing up and down slightly so i put on a new wheel and tightened/aligned the chain and idler pulley the best i could. what do you guys think? thanks.

It looks fine but looking at a pic and feeling how it tracks is two deferent things. Is their any popping sound? You want 1/2-3/4inch of play on your chain.

Replace/Repair/Adjust Chain

With your design of bike you could rid yourself of the problematic tensioner. Cut the chain to size and then slide the wheel back in its slot to achieve proper tension.

If you do that be aware that these chains do stretch quite a bit for the first couple hundred miles.

Also, pinning the tensioner is not a bad idea.

Here is what I use so the tensioner nut can't come loose.
