I don't really own any tools at the moment & don't know how to do any of this!
I would like to know how to get to Crankshaft (& how to rekognise it!) and same with gears...then do I just spray WD40 over them?
Then also how do I adjust the Clutch?
Hope some one can put this in laymans terms

Some of that just makes no sense. The crankshaft will be lubed by a healthy fuel oil mix. I think they MAY be talking about the crankshaft output gear and the flywheel/clutch gear. WD-40 simply will not do. Take the right cover off (aka clutch cover), and put a toothpaste single brushing dab of sticky grease on top of where the large and small gear mesh.
Octane boost? No - don't waste your money.
Clutch is adjusted also inside the cover, I'm in a bit of a hurry right now, but find Norman's long post on the clutch. Basically, remove cover, remove tiny screw and turn flower nut in to get more engagement out for less......
