Man I need to get out more/drive shaft bike's

I need to get out more, how long have they been making drive shaft bike's? Give's me all kinds of ideal's, just wish I could afford to make those ideal's come true.

i was looking at a cruiser that is shaft driven at the bicycle shop. was really tempting but i am moving in less then 2 weeks to the virgin islands and decided i better watch my money. i did take the bike for a test ride and i must say i really enjoyed it

Shaft driven bikes are actually quite old. I have seen pictures of them from the early 1900s and here is a 1949 Elgin Robin that recently sold at auction for $20,900. There is one of these at the Grand Haven Bicycle Museum not far from me, all I can say is that I really love Elgins...Kelly

Those are some really neat bikes. I Think I could look at pictures of bikes all day long. Even that Elgin is a work of art!!
