how to get better sounding videos

i have found that keeping my camera on the tripod records better sound .
the digital cams are very sound sensitive .
on the tripod , the mic is covered by the rubber on the tripod base ,

guess what ... no more wind noise ...

i suggest for anyone taking videos while riding on thier bike to try covering the mic with a small piece of foam and a piece of duct tape .

you will engoy the sound much better without all that nasty wind noise
