Unhappy GSX-R 1000 Problem

hi i was wondering does anybody else here have a gixxer 1000? i'm having some problems with mine and could use some help. when i go to shift out of 2nd gear, it makes this horrible whining sound until i put it in 3rd what could i have messed up in it?

A synchro on 2nd gear going bad will do that. Caused by excessive "banging of the gears" when you really get on it.
