Here's another boat and another artist from another culture. Though there's a tragic story in the background, it's still a pleasure to watch Mr. Blackwood at work.

Thanks Mike. I grew up in Sault Ste. Marie. My Father was the commander of the Coast Guard base and my Mother was an Indian woman from Thessalon Ontario. I spent lot of time as a boy in Batchewana bay. The Queen's Highway 17 north, playing in the fresh water and living off of berries. I love the connection with the Earth that only Canada has. Good to hear from you Raphael. I'll never forget the many happy days my Dad and I spent fishing in Canada in the 1960's. Glad you enjoyed the canoe building video too ... there are a lot more good ones on the NFB site. A nice change from "commercial" TV.
