| | Re: posting request And please, if you know it all or are some kind of snobby purist, please keep it to yourself unless asked. I bailed from "that other site" because of that behavior. Now, I see some of the same dillweed conduct popping up here. My sister-in-law runs a very busy diabetic mommy site and has to constantly contend with petty bickering...she has warned me about forums, and she was right. Ready the 'chute! |

| | Re: posting request Thanks Saddletramp! Because I have a "Ford" electric, a Puch moped and a Whizzer I feel like square peg on these forums. I have been wrestling with my conscience regarding a chinese motor. I know that nowadays its impossible to get away from chinese stuff. A chinese dog food additive killed our dog after we spent nearly $2500 on vet bills for what was at that time, a mystery illness. Some friends died fighting communism in the sixties and seventies. I am fairly open minded on design and 2 or 4 stroke, but I'm rightfully prejudiced against communist china. There is always old American and European motors. Anyway I enjoy finding broken stuff and restoring it, as I'm doing with my bikes. I am willing to listen and learn, which is why I'm here. There are some helpful people here and I won't hold it against them if they are chinese motor dealers. They are doing everyone a favor with their help, for that I'm grateful. I shan't rant no more. Thankyouforlettinmebemyself ! |

| | Re: posting request Thanks Deacon, I have read some of your posts and you know a universe more than me when it comes to building bikes. My technical background includes metallurgy, heat treatment, non-destructive inspection and aircraft structure repair, but that really has very little to do with bike design and construction which takes imagination and skill not to mention the right tools. I've done a lot of restoration and repair of Yamaha 650s, but I still consider myself a newbie on motorized bikes. Thank You for the links! |

Later Tramp | A scuba suit! I wish I could see that! A good idea for a candid camera type video. Bug season is upon us, I prefer the soft bodied ones. They get stuck in my teeth but some are really sweet! I only eat the hard shelled ones when I'm needing more roughage. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
