Custom Profile Field for Engine Type

just as it says...add a custom profile field to the forum database and have it displayed below our avatar and other info in our posts

i've done this with one of my other websites and could guide you through the process if interested

that is an example why i take care of the custom titles. the site is way to big to watch all the titles. i let members chose their titles on another forum i had and it became a fiasco

then again, you may be able to set that feature for only those that have X number of posts...that way you could give the privaledge to those that stick around and contribute without causing problems.
