ok so in NJ you just need a regular driver's license BUT you have to tittle it, register it, and insure it... tittle is $20 registration is $8, anyone know how much it might cost for insurance?? at this rate i might be better off with just my car anyways... but i do really want to do this. I'd save on gas (lol might be enough on its own to pay for everything!)

Yes, but it also say's..."Only Mopeds approved by MVS can be titled and registered" You may want to give them a call and see what they say about a motorized bicycle. I know some that have been able to get around this but it veries from state to state.
As far as insurance...I have no ideal what it would cost. But, let me tell you this, I have figured that I save over a $1000.00 a year in fuel cost riding my MB to work. And that is just to work, if you add the small errands I run on my MB too, I'm saving well over $1000.00.

yeah for NJ a moped approved by the MVS has to be a bicycle with a helper engine or a bike with pedals and under 50cc and under 25mph
