| | Going up A mountain w/44 tooth sprocket I recently went from a 36 tooth to a 44tooth. So the first thing I did was go up the biggest mountain near me which is A Mountain or Sentinel peak.
It goes from 2,389ft to 2,890ft, thats 501ft in just over 1/2 mile. Very step grade!!
I was able to go all the way without pedaling. I think I'll keep the 44. |

| | Re: Going up A mountain w/44 tooth sprocket Nice!~ What are you doing with the 36T?
I wished I would have known, I'd have offered to trade you for a 44T!

| | Re: Going up A mountain w/44 tooth sprocket A few years ago King's had a sale on there 80cc kit for $150.00. Well, I got a few of them. I still have two kits brand new in the box. I'm saving them for future builds. They all came with a 44t, I used one of them just to try out and I like it better then the 36t.
The 36t for right now I'm going to keep, I may need it later on. |

| | Re: Going up A mountain w/44 tooth sprocket Thanks.
We don't have all that much in the way of hills 'round here and I am setting the next couple of bikes up with a 36T.

| | Re: Going up A mountain w/44 tooth sprocket I got off work early today and when I got home it was only 98deg. So I decided to ride my pedal bike up A Mt. Yes, I ride a pedal bike every now and then but I do not wear spandex or shave my leg's. I know this is a motorized bike forum but I thought I share it with you.
Here is the video I made coming down. I got half way down when I remembered my camera is also a video camera. YouTube - Down A Mt. on pedal bike |

| | Re: Going up A mountain w/44 tooth sprocket Well I got my MB all torn down. I will be getting some new wheels hopefully next week. I was going to order a rear wheel for disc brake to use King's bolt on sprocket but thing's are really tight right now and I think I will stick with the coaster brake. I would like to order a front wheel for drum brake, as of right now I only have the rear coaster. My front wheel is not set up for caliper brakes, but my new one will be. But I really like the drum brake and might fork over the extra cash for it.
A bit of advice, if you have a bunch of pit bull's, dont leave your seat on the ground where they can get to it
It's been a while so I want to go over my MB really good. Repacking bearing's checking all bolt's and nut's, putting a new speedometer the one I have seem's to be off alot. I'm going digital this time, the one I'm using came off a exercise bike.
And of course I need a new seat now, but I do have another one I'll just use that one. It's basically the same but does not have gel with it.
I've been using my pedal bike to go to work for three day's now. I used to love to ride my pedal bike to work, but I think I have been spoiled with my MB. It's just not the same anymore, I think my ranger is going to be driven tomorrow to work. I had a hard time today pedaling home from work, I was exhausted after work. |

| | Re: Going up A mountain w/44 tooth sprocket Yeah, I'm not mad at my dog it was my fault I should have known better.
I'm really glad I decided to go over my bike really good. I found some crack's in the frame it's gotta be them AZ potholes. I knew it was going to happen, I'm at work so I dont have pic's of it right now. But I'm glad I got them before they got worst.
Here is a pic of the seat eater, he's name is Milo and he is a Zebo for those of you who know anything about bloodlines. In the background is seven, she's my baby doll, she is such a sweethart. I found her when she was a puppy on the side of the road with two broken leg's. But everything is good now

I am still waiting for my kit to arrive.
I can not wait to be able to take some pics of mine once it is done.
