| | Re: The SBP Jack Shaft rules !!! more picts PO mans tuned pipe used roofing washers drilled the out welded three together at the bottom threw out the baffle . My thoughts was that the pipe could naturally expand the gases with the baffle at the bottom , rather than at the center of the pipe where the baffle was. This bike is on its second CH last one went 5000 miles in about a year! I really want a tuned pipe . Maybe SBP will release one soon?

| | Re: The SBP Jack Shaft rules !!! Looks great Herder. What a great invention! SBP pulled out all the stops on this handy unit. I wish my pedal sprocket on my Spoiler was not 2 feet in the opposite direction I would install one of those babies in a heartbeat.
My next build will definitely involve that jackshaft system, I have a feeling that it would be a plus on solving driveline and vibration issues. SBP should get a medal for the idea. Happy building Loubuilt. |

| | Re: The SBP Jack Shaft rules !!! phil wood they make different sizes I used a 73x122 good have gone to a 135 I had a sealed bottom bracket left over in Shimano. Look closely at these upon install {use blue lock tight , order there special socket] it is totally possible to move it to the left of the bike or the right. Centering the cranks is a piece of cake! Hope this helps, when I peddled everywhere in my day It was very important to me to be set evenly on a bike . There are a lot of bikes uneven at the bottom bracket these days. ONE OF MY BIGGEST PEIVES..... Phil Wood - ALL: Aspire VeloTech Secure Online Store They are really quit fool proof too I have peddled 6000 miles on these before with no probs at all changed it out cause I was bored!

| | Re: The SBP Jack Shaft rules !!! Sorry some of the pict are blurry yet heres what I dun. Ok some shod job of welding. This is loads better than stock. Hope this helps someone. I drilled holes in the original baffle etc. It only led to scavenging. This is clearly the best cheap mod besides port matching that I ever did. Note the aluminum foil as a gasket at the baffle. The original flange got weak from porting and a hanging off the jug unsupported , it warped partially from custom bending the muff pipe. Had to weld a new flange on top of the old one. Last supported the muffler to the engine mount. I now believe it is important to support the muff , so not to warp the jug or the flange. In this pict on this one I forgot to mention I finished out with 6 washers. Second from last washer had bigger holes I was sorta thinking about a slowed down sponge of sorts hope this helps. It does run like a scalded dog! really no complaint for power had it up to 44mph. In a D@#@ safe place. Major prob oil on the bike lol.
