I better not offend too easily as I am surely offensive to some. Not that I intend to offend but clumsy and thoughtless I can be. You just have a lot of stuff to say Neat, and you do keep some threads more interesting. So our FairRacing31 was a real racer. I used to go to races and loved to follow CanAm racing where Jim Hall was a boyhood hero of mine. Did you know he is about the only car builder / owner who entered Indy 500 once and won? I never raced anything bigger than a mountain bike or faster than a road bike. I miss those days but not enough to get back in shape.

LENNY, THANKS FOR THE KIND WORDS, I FEEL BETTER . I LOOKED AT YOUR HAND CRAFTED FLUTES A WHILE BACK, GREAT. I RACED LATE MODEL DIRT FOR ALMOST 25 YRS. I GOT BURNED OUT ON WRENCHING. I SENT FAIR SOME PICTURES A WHILE BACK. THEY ARE TO BIG TO POST. HAVE 4 CHILDREN, WAS TALKING TO MY YOUNGEST DAUGHTER LAST WEEKEND. I TOLD HER, I THOUGHT THE FAMILY SUFFERED BECAUSE OF THE RACING. SHE SAID; DAD WE LOVED IT. MY WIFE WAS THE UNDEFEATED POWER PUFF QUEEN FOR YEARS. FAIRRACING, I`M SURE YOU KNOW THIS, TROPHY`S ARE LIKE BUCK HUNTING. THE FIRST ONE IS THE HARDEST. THE REST COME EASIER. EGOR, I WAS WAITING TO TALK TO MY CLIMBER ABOUT HIS SPIDER MONKEY, HE JUST LEFT. HIS DAD WON IT IN A POOL GAME. THE CLIMBER`S NAME IS "CHUCK". HE WAS ABOUT 10 YRS OLD WHEN HE GOT THE MONKEY. THE MONKEY WOULD SIT ON HIS SHOULDER. WALKING THRU THE WOODS ETC, THE MONKEY WOULD REACH UP AND EAT SPIDERS. HE WOULD GRAB LIZARDS AND BITE THE HEAD OFF AND EAT THEM, ALL BUT THE TAIL BECAUSE IT WOULD KEEP WIGGLING. MONKEY GETS MAD AT TAIL AND THROWS IT DN. IT WOULD GET MEAN WHEN THEY GAVE IT A BATH. THESE LITTLE BICYCLE MOTORS ARE FUN, RELAXING AND IMPRESSIVE.

Fairracing - Thanks for neat expo-say of your family of racing. I still have one of the timing placards from my Dads car, it is from around 1946 at El Mirage he did not get a good time but it is still neat. I will install it on the dash of the 29 when I get it done. I worked at Roush and Bill Stroppe, not in the racing end, Prototype testing for Ford, but there was a lot of fun stuff we got to mess with. I did get to work on the car that Mark Martin drove at the LA Coliseum I think it was in 99. We did nothing to the engine it came in a box with instructions not to touch. Worked for Honda all through the 60's, as a mechanic that is where most of my love for small bikes came from. Built some GP bikes to race but life got in the way, I am too old to fool with it now. I now work for the city of Long Beach as an outboard / all around mechanic now. Have fun, Dave
