Default The daily rider 4 stroke HS

I'm finally getting around to posting some pics of my 4 stroker. I've been riding this regularly for at least two years now, and it still runs great.

That is a cool looking bike.
I am planning on building a MB quite similar to that one.
I am still indecisive about buying a Hua Sheng or Honda GX50.
Time will tell.

Thanks GearNut!

My next engine will likely be a Honda, but my HS has run flawlessly for several thousand miles now. I wish the rest of the bike held up as well

Can you describe the putt putt sound you get out of that motor ? Is it comparable to a 4 stroke lawn mower sound ?

The engine comes from the factory with a fairly restrictive intake and exhaust, so originally it was so quiet all you could really hear was the noise from the gear box..think of the way Chitty Chitty Bang Bang sounded.

I've opened up the intake and exhaust for increased efficiency and power, also giving the engine a much louder and throatier sound.

I haven't been on a 4 stroker yet. Hows the power compare. 50cc 2 stroke vs. 4 stroke?

I'm not sure about the 50cc 2 stroke, but I can tell you the 4 stroke doesn't accelerate nearly as quickly as the 80cc 2 stroke I've built. The 4 strokes have a smoother powerband, less vibration too.
