Default working out the kinks

fellow bikers the reason i bought one of these motors for my extra bike was to save on gas which is about $5 a gallon. i sometime pedal my other bike to work but i would also like to take this bike to work i work the little kinks. the only problem that i'am having is that the chain tensionor keeps creeping towards the spokes, and i have tighten them where i have stripped a couple bolts and had to buy new ones. please let me know if anyone else has had this problem and what they did to solve the problem. take care frank

I just finished replacing the bolts on mine. I was able to crank the snot out of the replacment bolts, and it seem to be good now.

You could wrap a piece of inner tube rubber around the frame and secure with electrical tape. Then install the tensioner.

Cupped washers for chain tensioner

This show's a bolt and a screw threw the frame. But you could just do one and get the same result.

I use hellbilly's method and it works fine. A better method is to ajust your chain by taking links out or maybe using half links and eliminating the tentioner all together. Welcome to the group frank, enjoy the ride...Kelly
