| | Re: New Guy, 30 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania I think you'll have to go with a rack mount (really reliable) for a recumbent bike....bama bike guy can surely help you...welcome to the forum.

This is how I used to get my Vision recumbent to the place where I wanted to
ride.

| | Re: New Guy, 30 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Welcome to the forum. Now that is an ingeious rig. I bet a rack mount would be the easiest way to motorize a recumbent. Glad you joined us...............................

| | Re: New Guy, 30 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Hi ZG,
There are a lot of folks running on recumbents now, I remember 2 of the earliest were in the Rocky Mountains, so thats not a biggie.
I can't tell, is that rear wheel 24" or 26"? |

A friction drive would probably be your best bet… If your gonna ride in the Burg’ on public streets, you kinda need to stay clear of the cops if you don’t want to get in any trouble…
You can get legal, but I don’t know if a recumbent would pass for inspection??? |
