Default Just introducing myself

Just wanted to say hi.

I've been looking at buying a classic motorcycle, and stumbled onto this hobby. I am completely hooked!!

In looking for a donor cruiser I found the Felt bikes, which are exactly what I had in mind. I then found the company that motorizes them ($2,600?).

However, being a man/idiot, I want to do this myself.

I'm thinking I'll buy a basic cruiser & engine as my first project, just to see how it goes. If I can pull it off, maybe the Felt bike will be my second project.

I've always enjoyed working on my own bike & car, as well as other hobbies (brewing my own beer), so this just seems like a natural next step.

Myopic1,
Welcome to the forum and a word of caution: These bikes are addictive. You can't have just one. Enjoy your first build but be prepared for the need to build another one about the time the first engine is broken in. Have fun, ride safe. Send us some photos of your first one.

Welcome,
Before you go buy a bike, check this list out The "Plug-and-Play" Bikes for 2-stroke china engines thread. It has the best amnd worst bikes to use. I have gone thru now 5 bikes on my 48cc kit, all of the bikes i bought were bad, so i bad so i had to sell them back. I hop u have more luck than me!
