Default Hello from the Windy City

hello Everybody
Some of you may already know my brother IZZY
I have spent several months reading and learning from this Forum. This is by far the best forum on motorized Bicycles & Trikes.

I use trikes because i'm wheelchair bound. Me and my brother built my first motorized tricycle in 2004 using an old wheelchair and a 26" Ladies Raleigh Frame. We basically cut the bike in half and welded it to the wheelchair. I used that tricycle up to last year when one of our friends gave us another trike which almost ended up in the garbage.

Me and my brother love building things and we hope to start a business soon selling bicycle related products.

You could look up my trike on you tube By Searching BOOMBIKE (One word) its from 2007

Its and older video before we installed a 4 Strike Staton motor.

It has a Front hub electric motor in the video and it currently has 2 motors now, Gas electric.

The guy on the bike is our friend Carl hauling a 1000 watt sound system

Here is a pic of the first trike we built around 2004-05

It had a 500 watt brushed electric hub motor. The electric motor can get it up to 25-30mph on a flat surface. It flies going downhill but thats another story for another post.
