Default Hello from Ohio

Just built my first bike. Used a Schwinn Del Ray Cruiser. Turned out pretty good and is fun to ride. Have a springer fork on the way. Had to cut out the rear fender for the chain and I replaced the front fender brackets with 1/8 x 3/4 strap steel bent to shape. Didn't want the weak originals to break and cause an accident. I work as a maintenance man /mechanic ,so this was a fun project. Also put rubber bushings between the rear fender and carrier on rear to stop them from rattling.Only have about 20 miles on it so far ,so its not even started to get broken in. I enjoy fabricating things, built a mini bike a couple years ago. Made the frame from scratch and all the jack shafts to drive it.Enjoy reading all the tips posted on this site. Used one of the 70cc engine kits ( I know its not really 70cc ).
