Default Greetings from central PA

Hello everybody,
I recently just started getting intrested in to motorized bicycles. I originally planned to get a kit and put it on my huffy mountain bike. But like all my ideas a spark went off in my head and i remembered an old bike in my dads basement and since i love older style bikes i stoped by my dads place to see if i could get it from him . It is a early 1950s schwinn that my dad had when he was a kid, then my grandfather on my moms side ended up painting it black when he lived with us before he passed in 97 , so now onto the youngest generation ( me) haha i now plan to motorize it to put around town. and i cant wait to learn more from this awesome site ( ive been lurking the last two days and learned alot already)

and now a picture of the bike.

That would be a cool bike to put a motor on, but I'd bet you will need to replace the rear wheel or at least get some newer heavy gauge spokes installed. My old Schwinn Suburban gave me fits with the old wheel, snapping spokes left and right.

Kings 70cc 3200+ miles. Now on a Schwinn Point Beach.
