20 seconds runnin time.

got the 50 cc motor an accessories in . Checked an had spark. The motor started up pretty quick an ran for 20 secs an quit. Kept trying again. No success. Checked an had no spark. Sooooo, How do I check the cdi? The impuls coil in the motor has resistance. Cant get any resistance on the cdi. Did I do something to break it.? It never got warm even. Help. Fledge3

Check the connections from the engine to the cdi. Pretty crappy connectors. I cut mine off and soldered the wires together, check where the spark plug wire screws into CDI and into plug cap, iside cap is also screw that might be loose, mine was. Best bet get a new plug, plug wire and cap at auto parts store. Also if you hooked up your kill switch disconnect it till you firgure eveything out
