Heres my DIY filter for less then $10aus . I use a oil can/ breather filter from Autobarn and modified the inside to make it fit around the circle groove inside. Using two tiny wood screws to hold them in. Blk silicone around the edges for air tight. Fits great and works Really good!.

you can pretty much mount any pleated air filter on your bike. Go to a tractor supply or other hardware shop and pick one up that looks close to the size of the old mount, then tape it on or make a mount so you can use the screws.

I got a good one, spectre performance auto parts sells a mini cone filter oil breather
its polished, available in many colors, and installs with a hose clamp
plus it looks just like a cold air intake from a car =D

o by the way, your throttle cable on top of the carb is loose and not sealed.
you might want to seal and tape it tight.thats called a airleak.

Would I be able to use plastic foam filters(like the ones on Briggs & Stratton engines) that have been cut to size? I like cheap solutions.
