baffle question


Discussion at Motorized Bicycle Engine Kit Forum in the High Performance Bicycle Engine Tips forum. i was told i could remove the baffle and get a decent power increase...is this true and if so ...

Default baffle question

i was told i could remove the baffle and get a decent power increase...is this true and if so will it damage the engine in any way shape or form?also if it doesnt damage my motor can someone give me instructions to do this?im mechanically new lol

Every different kit has a different kind of baffle in the pipe.
Take the end cap off the pipe and look to see how you can make it "free flow" a little better... you can also post some pics of the inside of your pipe to get more advice.

Make sure you check the color of your spark plug after you ride it a few miles. Sometimes, depending on the initial set up, removing the baffle will lean the engine out unacceptably and you'll have to make some minor adjustments.
