That looks really good Norm!
Did you use the software that eDJ found to create the patterns? (Expansion Chamber Design Utility from IWT racing.)

Re: another home made pipe
No I used southern engineering on the pipe I sort of copied one of my scooters tuned pipes this one is really nice and quiet and seems to help the engine pull all through the rpm range and I'm able to get it to rev a little tighter than when I had the stock muffler/pipe on it.
I've thought about making and sells these pipes but I would be doing the building of them for fun as it takes me 2 days to make one first I cut out and hand form the parts then I weld them together cutting and trimming them to fit as I go. It takes quite a while to get it all to fit nice and tight. More work than this lazy ol man really wants to do. But when I'm in the mood its fun.

Re: another home made pipe
Now that I like.... are you going to make them commercially?
I am getting more and more tempted with a HP HT engined build as the days go by..

Re: another home made pipe
Jemma
It would be very hard to make them for sale and to get them to fit a bike like I'd want them to fit, I'd have to have the bike in front of me so I could fit the parts as I go so I'd rather sell the patterns and let who ever wants to make a pipe for their bike have a go at it. The pipe isn't hard to make it just getting it to fit the bike properly I might ought to look at the proper formula to make these as well I've been coping a tuned pipe off of one of my scooters what I've been doing seems to be working but there is room for improvement.

Re: another home made pipe
The bike you have it on is pretty much representative of the MTB style of bike that people use... It might be possible to make up a MTB/Cruiser/Stretch version of the same general pipe (ie using the same resonator) just with the lengths and such adjusted accordingly..
I understand the perfectionist thing - I am just the same, but my problem is that I often dont have the talent or the tools to make the best job of things I want to do.. which is a pain in the neck.
Would love to have the money to start building these professionally... i have so many ideas.. even some based on gimmicking a GEBE to become a proper frame centre mount..
