Do ya'll have any old cotton gins in that part of the country? We used to get it from an oil field company my Dad worked for. They used it turn a big eccentric wheel that ran rod lines back and forth to a bunch of pumpjacks. Do ya'll have any kind of old industries that might use some kind of belting to turn things. I bet theres a ton of it piled up around there somewhere........................

up north now
Tire sidewall from an auto tire.
Layers of leather.
Several layers of inner tube.
Or, glue up layers of any of the above...just us good old contact cement to do it.

Any Amish in your area? they use these great wide belts to run everything from a stationary engine....perfect.

Ok you all are refering to the fiber rings behind the rear sprocket. That is made out of old auto or truck tire side walls.
