can anyone tell me if i lengthen my pipe will it lose power running a 69.7cc Starfire GenI GT4

it just wont fit unless i lengthen it.

its burning my head out making it fit as it should, im fitting it in the up position, but the tank fuel tap gets in the way and its far to close to the tank underside.

no sorry when i said up i ment so the pipe comes up and over the engine, ive done it now and it looks good, just need to give the bike some little tweeks here and there and hopefully then take it on test...:)

You should mount the expansion chamber first (no header). That way you have it where you like, then go ahead and make the proper measurements to cut and fit. The shorter the header the greater top end you will have but some low-end torque will be sacrificed. Unless you have some mods to compensate I say leave the header longer than 9''
