If the carb is dripping gas from the air filter, it means that the float is stuck, or there is a little dirt in the float needle.
Try tapping on the float bowl to free it up.
If that doesn't work, open up the carb and clean it out.
If that still doesn't work, you might have a bad float needle or needle seat... in this case you might just want to buy a new carb for $15 & be done with it. (& have some spare carb parts too)
