Strap on a mini alternator and a battery.
I replaced many magnetos because people used the white wire.
It kills the magneto alot faster if you are using a bulb with a lot of current/volts.
The white wire is only giving out 5/6 volts.
Try using bright leds. I had a set up on my cruiser and it worked like a charm.
